Gulf Air Reinforces Executive Leadership Structure

Gulf Air has announced key changes to its senior executive management team as part of its ongoing strategic development.

The airline has appointed Captain Qasim Ismaeel as Chief Operations Officer (COO), succeeding Captain Suhail Ismaeel following his retirement. Additionally, Hanadi Alaali has been named Chief Customer Experience Officer (CCEO).

The appointments are designed to strengthen operational oversight and further enhance the overall travel experience for passengers.

Captain Qasim Ismaeel Takes Over as Chief Operations Officer

With more than 30 years of service at Gulf Air, Captain Qasim Ismaeel brings extensive aviation expertise to his new role. Most recently serving as Head of Flight Operations, he has played a central role in maintaining operational standards and flight performance.

As COO, he will oversee Flight Operations, Ground Operations, Safety and Emergency services, and Crew Management. His focus will be on operational reliability, regulatory compliance, and performance efficiency across the airline’s network.

The leadership transition ensures continuity in operational excellence and safety management.

Hanadi Alaali Appointed Chief Customer Experience Officer

Hanadi Alaali joins the executive leadership team with over two decades of professional experience. In her role as CCEO, she will lead initiatives aimed at enhancing passenger comfort, service innovation, and overall customer satisfaction.

She will also oversee Gulf Air’s loyalty programme, Falcon Flyer, strengthening engagement strategies and reinforcing a customer-centric culture across the organisation.

Her mandate includes driving service improvements, refining onboard and ground experiences, and supporting the airline’s competitive positioning in the regional and global aviation market.

Supporting Long-Term Growth and Competitive Positioning

The executive appointments reflect Gulf Air’s broader strategy to balance operational strength with service excellence. By reinforcing leadership across both operational and customer experience divisions, the airline aims to deliver consistent performance while adapting to evolving passenger expectations.

As Bahrain’s national carrier, Gulf Air continues to invest in experienced leadership to support sustainable growth, network expansion, and elevated service standards across its international operations.
