Wynn Resorts and Marjan have reached a major construction milestone at Wynn Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah as the resort’s 70-storey tower completed its structural framework at 283 metres. The building is expected to reach 352 metres once the spire is installed ahead of its Spring 2027 opening. The integrated resort will feature more than 1,500 accommodations, restaurants, entertainment venues, a private beach, and a marina, positioning Ras Al Khaimah as an emerging global luxury tourism destination.
Major construction milestone achieved as the UAE’s upcoming integrated resort prepares for a 2027 debut
Wynn Resorts and Marjan have reached a significant construction milestone for Wynn Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, with the project’s main tower completing its structural framework. The 70-storey tower has reached a height of 283 metres, marking the completion of its concrete structure approximately 27 months after foundation works began.
The development is expected to rise to 352 metres once the tower’s spire is installed in 2026, positioning it as the tallest building in the Northern Emirates. The integrated resort is scheduled to open in Spring 2027, becoming one of the most prominent tourism developments in the United Arab Emirates.
Structural work completed across guest accommodation
Construction progress has been substantial across the resort complex. The structural framework for 1,530 guest accommodations has been fully completed, while interior works are currently progressing across 1,504 rooms and suites.
The tower’s external façade installation is also well advanced, with approximately 79 percent of façade panels already in place. Meanwhile, surrounding low-rise resort buildings have reached 99 percent structural completion, allowing the project to move into a comprehensive interior build-out phase.
This next phase includes finishing works for guest rooms, suites, dining venues, entertainment areas, and other public spaces.
A large-scale integrated resort development
Wynn Al Marjan Island will introduce the Middle East’s first fully integrated resort of its scale when it opens. The development spans more than 60 hectares on Al Marjan Island and is designed to deliver a mix of luxury accommodation, entertainment, dining, and leisure experiences.
The resort will include 1,217 hotel rooms, 297 Enclave suites, two Royal Apartments, four Garden Townhomes, and 10 Marina Estates.
The property will also feature a wide range of amenities, including 22 restaurants, bars, and lounges, a luxury spa and wellness centre, a beach club, and a retail promenade beneath a skylit atrium.
Entertainment and leisure facilities will include The Showroom theatre, Coral Court event venue, 12 swimming pools, and a 420-metre white-sand beach along the waterfront.
A deep-water marina designed to accommodate superyachts will further enhance the resort’s appeal to international visitors.
Construction ceremony marks milestone achievement
To commemorate the topping-out milestone, senior executives from Wynn Resorts, Wynn Design & Development, and Marjan gathered at the summit of the tower overlooking the Arabian Gulf.
The ceremony included the symbolic pouring of the final concrete and the presentation of commemorative steel pieces from the tower structure to mark the achievement.
The milestone reflects the scale of the project and the efforts of thousands of construction professionals contributing to the development.
Transforming Ras Al Khaimah’s tourism landscape
Wynn Al Marjan Island is expected to play a major role in transforming Ras Al Khaimah’s tourism sector and positioning the emirate as a global luxury travel destination.
The construction project has already generated more than 18,000 jobs, highlighting its economic impact on the region.
Once completed, the resort will combine luxury hospitality, entertainment, retail, and leisure experiences to create a destination capable of attracting international travelers.
Additional luxury project planned on Al Marjan Island
Alongside the progress of Wynn Al Marjan Island, another major hospitality development is underway nearby.
Janu Al Marjan Island, a project from the Aman Group’s sister brand Janu, was announced in late 2025 and is currently under construction. The resort is expected to open in 2028 and will further expand Al Marjan Island’s luxury hospitality offerings.
Together, the two developments represent more than 60 acres of resort investment, contributing to Ras Al Khaimah’s strategy to grow its tourism infrastructure and attract global visitors.
