Marriott International Partners with NEOM to Launch Three Luxury Hotels on Sindalah Island

Marriott Strengthens Saudi Arabia Expansion Strategy

Marriott International has signed a landmark agreement with NEOM to open three luxury hotels on Sindalah, a premium island destination in the Red Sea.

The agreement reinforces Marriott’s long-term expansion strategy in Saudi Arabia and supports the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objective of transforming into a global tourism hub. The portfolio will include two properties under The Luxury Collection and one under Autograph Collection Hotels — marking the first Autograph Collection signing in the country.

The Luxury Collection: Elevated Island Hospitality

The two Luxury Collection properties are designed to deliver destination-inspired luxury experiences rooted in Sindalah’s marine landscape.

Beachfront Resort

The beachfront project will feature approximately 70 high-end rooms and suites, along with spacious one- to four-bedroom villas equipped with private pools. The resort will offer curated dining concepts, leisure facilities, and wellness amenities aimed at global luxury travelers.

Marina District All-Suite Property

The second Luxury Collection hotel will be located in the island’s retail and marina district. It is expected to offer around 115 all-suite accommodations and provide direct access to Sindalah’s yacht lifestyle ecosystem, premium retail spaces, and culinary venues.

Both properties are positioned to cater to affluent leisure travelers and yacht owners visiting the Red Sea.

Autograph Collection: Boutique Luxury with Distinct Identity

The Autograph Collection property on Sindalah will introduce an intimate luxury resort concept to the island. The hotel is expected to feature 66 rooms and suites, including one- and two-bedroom villas.

Plans include multiple restaurants, a spa, family-friendly amenities such as a kids club, and experiential programming that reflects the character and individuality associated with the brand.

This signing represents the debut of the Autograph Collection brand in Saudi Arabia, further diversifying the country’s luxury hotel landscape.

Sindalah: NEOM’s First Operational Destination

Sindalah spans approximately 840,000 square meters and has emerged as the first completed region within NEOM’s multi-destination master plan. Designed by Luca Dini Design and Architecture, the island focuses on luxury marine tourism and exclusive hospitality.

Key highlights include:

  • An 86-berth marina accommodating yachts up to 75 meters

  • Offshore buoys for superyachts up to 180 meters

  • Ultra-premium hotels, villas, and serviced apartments

  • High-end retail zones and a yacht club

  • A diverse culinary portfolio with dozens of dining concepts

Sindalah is strategically positioned within sailing distance of the Mediterranean and aims to attract international yacht owners and luxury travelers seeking Red Sea experiences.

Strategic Impact on the Middle East Hospitality Market

The collaboration between Marriott International and NEOM reflects the growing momentum of Saudi Arabia’s hospitality and tourism investment pipeline. As global hotel brands expand across giga-project developments, luxury destinations like Sindalah are expected to play a critical role in positioning the Red Sea as a competitive alternative to established Mediterranean and Caribbean yachting hubs.

For Marriott, the agreement strengthens its premium brand presence in the Middle East. For NEOM, the partnership brings international hospitality expertise to support operational excellence and global market appeal.

With Sindalah now operational, these upcoming hotels are set to become foundational components of NEOM’s evolving luxury tourism ecosystem.
