Miraval The Red Sea to Debut in 2026 as Brand’s First International Wellness Resort

Miraval Expands Beyond the United States

Miraval Resorts & Spas will make its international debut in early 2026 with the launch of Miraval The Red Sea, an adults-only (18+) all-inclusive wellness resort on Shura Island. The opening marks the brand’s first property outside the United States and a major milestone in its global expansion under the Hyatt Hotels Corporation portfolio.

The resort forms part of The Red Sea destination, a large-scale regenerative tourism development led by Red Sea Global along Saudi Arabia’s west coast.

A Biophilic Design Rooted in Nature

Miraval The Red Sea has been designed by Foster + Partners, with interiors by Rockwell Group. The architecture draws inspiration from coral reefs, desert terrain and mangrove ecosystems, integrating terracotta rammed-earth walls, expansive glazing and organic materials to create harmony between indoor and outdoor environments.

Set across approximately three million square feet, the resort is framed by lagoons, mangroves and coastal landscapes, reinforcing its connection to nature and sustainability principles.

180 Guestrooms and Private Beach Villas

The property will feature 180 guestrooms, suites and villas, each offering private terraces or decks overlooking the surrounding Red Sea environment. Wellness-focused in-room elements will include meditation accessories and thoughtfully curated amenities to encourage mindfulness and relaxation.

In addition, Miraval The Red Sea Residences will introduce a limited collection of 20 fully furnished beach villas ranging from one to four bedrooms. Each villa will include private swimming pools, expansive terraces and dedicated residential services. Owners will have access to personalised wellbeing programming and exclusive resort privileges.

Life in Balance Spa and Holistic Programming

At the heart of the resort will be the Life in Balance Spa, a 3,000-square-metre (approximately 40,000-square-foot) wellness facility featuring 39 indoor and outdoor treatment rooms. Facilities will include vitality pools, hammams, salt rooms and sensory showers, making it one of the largest spa concepts on Shura Island.

Wellness programming will span mindfulness sessions, movement classes, creative workshops, aquatic experiences and resilience-building challenges, all guided by Miraval Specialists.

Nutrition-Led Culinary Experiences

Dining will reflect Miraval’s nutrition-focused philosophy, offering balanced menus designed to support overall wellbeing. Guests can expect all-day dining options, sunset tapas, lighter fare and interactive culinary workshops curated to align with the brand’s holistic approach.

A Key Component of The Red Sea Destination

Miraval The Red Sea is part of Red Sea Global’s ambitious regenerative tourism development along the Red Sea coast. The wider destination spans more than 10,000 square miles of coastline, islands, desert and marine ecosystems, with a commitment to environmental preservation and sustainable growth.

The resort will be accessible via Red Sea International Airport, providing direct connectivity for international travellers.

Strengthening Saudi Arabia’s Wellness Tourism Sector

The debut of Miraval The Red Sea reflects Saudi Arabia’s broader tourism diversification strategy and growing focus on high-end wellness travel. As global demand for transformative wellbeing experiences continues to rise, the resort is positioned to become a flagship destination for mindful luxury in the Middle East.

With its adults-only concept, expansive spa facilities and limited-edition residences, Miraval The Red Sea is set to redefine wellness hospitality in the region when it opens in 2026.
