Accor has signed Novotel Riyadh Al Wurud, a new midscale hotel development in Riyadh scheduled to open in 2028. Developed in partnership with Saleh Abdulaziz Al Rajhi Partners & Co Ltd, the project will feature 225 units, including 160 hotel rooms and 65 serviced apartments. Located near major business districts and attractions, the hotel will offer modern amenities, meeting spaces, and wellness facilities. The project strengthens Accor’s growing presence in Saudi Arabia and supports the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 tourism development strategy.

Accor has announced the signing of Novotel Riyadh Al Wurud, a new hospitality project planned for the Saudi capital in partnership with Saleh Abdulaziz Al Rajhi Partners & Co Ltd, a prominent real estate developer in the Kingdom. The hotel is expected to open in 2028, further strengthening Accor’s expanding footprint in Saudi Arabia.
The project aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 strategy, which aims to diversify the economy and significantly increase tourism capacity across the country.
225-key property with hotel rooms and serviced apartments
Novotel Riyadh Al Wurud will feature a total of 225 accommodation units, including 160 hotel rooms designed for short-stay guests and 65 serviced apartments aimed at families and extended-stay visitors.
This dual accommodation concept is intended to cater to a wide range of travelers, including corporate visitors, long-stay professionals, and leisure guests visiting Riyadh.
The Novotel brand is known for its contemporary midscale hospitality concept, offering practical design, modern amenities, and comfortable spaces for both business and leisure travelers.
Central location with strong connectivity
The upcoming property will be located along King Abdullah Branch Road, providing convenient access to several key commercial and business districts in Riyadh. Major areas such as Olaya Road, King Fahad Road, and the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) are located nearby.
The hotel will also be close to several important cultural and lifestyle destinations including Diriyah Gate, the Diplomatic Quarter, and King Salman Park, which are among Riyadh’s most significant attractions.
Additionally, the property will benefit from its proximity to the Olaya Station of the Riyadh Metro, offering guests convenient connectivity across the city’s public transport network.
Business, meeting and wellness facilities
Novotel Riyadh Al Wurud is expected to offer a range of amenities tailored to modern travelers. These will include a restaurant, a lobby lounge, and approximately 750 square meters of meeting and event space, making the hotel suitable for conferences, corporate meetings, and social gatherings.
The property will also incorporate wellness facilities, including sauna and steam rooms, along with dedicated relaxation areas designed to enhance guest comfort during their stay.

The development is being delivered in collaboration with Saleh Abdulaziz Al Rajhi Partners & Co Ltd, a well-established Saudi real estate company with extensive experience in major development projects across the Kingdom.
The partnership aims to introduce a high-quality hospitality project that meets international standards while contributing to the growth of Riyadh’s tourism and business travel infrastructure.
Accor continues to expand its presence in Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia remains a key growth market for Accor. The group currently operates 45 hotels across the Kingdom, covering multiple segments ranging from luxury to economy brands.
In addition to its operational portfolio, 42 additional hotels are currently under development, highlighting Accor’s strong pipeline in the Saudi hospitality sector.
Within the Novotel brand, Accor manages nine properties in Saudi Arabia, representing more than 2,600 rooms. Several new Novotel projects are also scheduled to open in the coming years, including developments in Dhahran, Riyadh, and Madinah.
The signing of Novotel Riyadh Al Wurud represents another milestone in Accor’s strategy to expand its midscale hospitality offerings while supporting Saudi Arabia’s ambitious tourism development goals.
