Wynn Al Marjan Island Moves into Advanced Build Phase Ahead of Planned 2027 Debut

Development work at Wynn Al Marjan Island has entered an advanced construction phase, positioning the landmark project firmly on track for its planned opening in 2027. The resort is being developed by Wynn Resorts in collaboration with Marjan and RAK Hospitality Holding, and is widely regarded as one of the most transformative hospitality developments in the Northern Emirates.

Situated on Al Marjan Island and within easy reach of Dubai and the wider UAE, the project is designed to play a pivotal role in Ras Al Khaimah’s long-term tourism strategy.

Structural Completion Signals Transition to Fit-Out Stage

The resort’s primary tower has now completed its core structural works, marking a significant shift from vertical construction to large-scale interior delivery. With the main concrete framework finalised, teams are progressing façade installation, roof crown assembly, and building systems integration across the tower.

All guest accommodation units—including rooms, suites, and residential-style offerings—have reached full structural completion. Interior works are advancing in a phased sequence, covering mechanical and electrical systems, interior partitions, and finish installations.

Island Access and Infrastructure Taking Shape

Beyond the resort itself, supporting infrastructure has become a focal point of construction activity. The Wynn Bridge, a purpose-built connection linking the island directly to the mainland road network, is progressing steadily. Once operational, the bridge will provide direct access to major highways connecting Ras Al Khaimah with Dubai and the Northern Emirates, significantly enhancing accessibility for visitors and staff.

Low-rise podium structures, back-of-house facilities, and service zones across the site are nearing final structural readiness, enabling commissioning works to begin in select areas.

Scale and Complexity of Onsite Operations

The development is being delivered through one of the region’s largest coordinated construction efforts, with thousands of workers active onsite and continuous material movement supporting around-the-clock progress. As the project advances, multiple construction streams—including guestroom interiors, public spaces, vertical transport systems, and technical installations—are now running concurrently.

When complete, the resort will offer more than 1,500 guest accommodations, forming the backbone of a large-scale, integrated luxury destination.

Resort Experience and Destination Vision

Wynn Al Marjan Island is being conceived as a fully integrated lifestyle destination rather than a standalone hotel. Planned facilities include a wide-ranging food and beverage collection, entertainment venues, wellness and spa facilities, expansive outdoor leisure zones, retail experiences, and purpose-built event and performance spaces.

The resort’s design intent focuses on delivering immersive guest experiences while introducing a new tier of luxury resort development to the UAE market.

Pre-Opening Workforce Planning

Parallel to construction progress, Wynn Resorts is advancing workforce readiness through the development of Oasis: A Wynn Community, a dedicated residential project located close to the resort. The community is intended to house a large portion of the resort’s future workforce and reflects a long-term operational strategy centred on employee wellbeing, retention, and service consistency.

Strategic Importance for Ras Al Khaimah

As the first integrated gaming resort planned in the Middle East and North Africa region, Wynn Al Marjan Island carries significance beyond hospitality alone. The project is expected to contribute meaningfully to Ras Al Khaimah’s economic diversification, global tourism positioning, and destination branding over the coming decade.
