Mandarin Oriental to Launch Luxury Hotel and Residences in Jeddah Central by 2030

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is set to expand its Middle East portfolio with the development of Mandarin Oriental Jeddah, a luxury hotel and branded residences project located within Jeddah Central. Scheduled to open in 2030, the project underscores the brand’s continued focus on high-growth markets in the region.

Positioned Within a Landmark Waterfront Destination

The development will be located along the Red Sea coastline within Jeddah Central, a major urban regeneration project designed to redefine the city’s tourism and lifestyle landscape. The destination will integrate residential, retail, and cultural components, alongside key attractions such as an opera house, museum, sports stadium, and marine experiences.

Its central waterfront positioning is expected to enhance accessibility while offering panoramic sea views.

Architectural Approach Blending Sustainability and Heritage

The project is being designed by internationally acclaimed firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF). The design concept focuses on a low-rise, low-density structure that aligns with sustainable development principles while reflecting regional architectural influences.

The overall vision is to create a tranquil urban retreat that combines contemporary design with a strong sense of place.

Comprehensive Luxury Accommodation Offering

Mandarin Oriental Jeddah will include 140 guestrooms and suites with views of the Red Sea, as well as 115 serviced apartments designed for extended stays.

The development will also feature 187 branded residences, offering private ownership options with access to exclusive facilities such as lounges, entertainment areas, a cinema, fitness centre, and swimming pool—supported by the brand’s signature hospitality services.

Dining, Wellness and Event Infrastructure

The property will host five dining venues, showcasing a range of global and specialty culinary concepts aligned with Mandarin Oriental’s reputation for high-end gastronomy.

Wellness facilities will include The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, offering holistic treatments and signature therapies. Additional amenities will include a fitness centre, swimming pools, and dedicated children’s facilities.

The hotel will also incorporate extensive meeting and event spaces, including a ballroom designed for social and corporate gatherings.

Strategic Collaboration and Market Impact

The project is being developed in partnership with Jeddah Central Development Company, supporting Saudi Arabia’s broader strategy to position Jeddah as a global destination for tourism, culture, and business.

With the city already attracting millions of visitors annually, the development is expected to contribute significantly to the growth of the luxury hospitality segment in the Kingdom.

Expanding Mandarin Oriental’s Regional Presence

This upcoming property will further strengthen Mandarin Oriental’s footprint across the Middle East, complementing its existing portfolio in key cities. The Jeddah development reflects the brand’s long-term commitment to delivering luxury hospitality experiences in emerging global destinations.
